Re: GMAT Prep Math Question

we separate p-n and p+n and divide them individually by the denominators 3 and 5 respectively, however we surely cannot multiply the remainders to get to get a consistent answer. please plug in to confirm this. Answer should be E. Pls. confirm.

Re: GMAT Prep Geometry

the angle of x and y determine the lengths of line segments PQ and RS. thus if the angle x and angle y are equal the length of the line segments would be equal as PS and QR are parallel lines. Thus the only way to get a solution is by knowing if angle x and angle y are different , thus making sure t...

Re: If y>=0, what is x?

Hi Emily, this number line thought process has blown me away. When i approched this problem it was like a modulus problem in the lines of the below - for a. |x-3| >= y so we have 2 results - x-3>=y and x-3<=-y and so on but got nowhere as there were two variables here. could you also explai...

Re: is |x-y| > |x| - |y|?

is OA : C

1) y< x

y could be -ive and + ive. insufficient on plugging in.

2) xy< 0

x or y is negative.

Combined y is -ive and x +ive. and thus proven by pluggging in figures.

Re: 10 students, 4 French, others Spanish/German
