But consider the difference between these two sentences, which would illustrate the point: (1) I get mail from cities as far away as Providence. (2) I get mail from cities th...

Re:

'to become extinct' does seem, to my eyes, more awkward and wordy than 'to extinction', but there are other issues in choices b and c. choice b: biggest problem = incorrect idiom: 'known as having forced' known as is used with nouns : al capone was known as a gangster rather than as a tax cheat , b...

Re: Exceeding even the figures predicted by the most

Please remember to use the correct subject when posting: the first 5-8 words of the question itself. Between D and E, the only difference is "those of" at the end of E (absent from D). So you ask yourself "what is being compared here?" The earnings in one quarter to the earnings...

Re: The number of people flying first

by the way, you can strike (d) and (e) without even seeing the prompt. as soon as you see "twice as many as the increase...", these choices are automatically incorrect (since "increase" is not a countable quantity). Ron, are you using the keyword "many" here to determi...

subtle. if you're a native speaker of english, and especially if you read a lot, you may be able to pick up on the general vibe of "awkwardness" in choice (c). it's just not as well written as choice (b), although i understand that this principle is intangible and therefore frustrating. h...

Re: Ron/ Stacey Require Advice. Need to go to 730+

If you already scored a Q48, then you should absolutely go for a Q50. :) The big difference there is not in learning a ton more math but in getting better at how you take the test - how you make decisions about where to spend your time and mental energy, how you solve certain problems (efficiently,...
