Re: INCORRECT MODIFICATION?

Hi Ron~I've been a super big fan of you for almost 2 years. It's my first time to post :) according to your post "infinitive modifiers don't modify nouns at all, actually; they aren't adjective-style modifiers." But in the thread for Prep 68 http://www.manhattanprep.com/gmat/forums/for-the...

Re: SC:is descended or has descended ?

Hi Ron in choice (B) Can I say that because "its trunk" in a concrete noun, this Appositive Modifier can't modify the noun preceding comma ("an aquatic animal") ? Thank you in advance  From a purely mechanical standpoint, the modifier in choice B is fine, as explained in Il...

Re: SC : astronomical phenomena

Hi Ron~~

Are "each orbit the other(B)" and "each is orbiting the other(D)" are wrong ? I think we should write "orbit each other."

In addition, "in orbiting" is another reason to eliminate (D) ?

Please correct me. Thank you in advance :)

Re: Re:

Dear Ron in this thread you said "the only major difference that i can posit between "can" and "has/have the ability..." is that the latter is generally used only for humans or other living animals, while "can" can be used either for humans/animals or for inanimate...

Re: Granitic soil

Hi Ron~~ I go with choice (A) (decide on parallel )but feel perplexed by the meaning... ...because it is not "(A) so hard that it makes burrowing difficult or so soft that it could cause" tunnels to collapse. Does the word "not" just modify "so hard"? Or it modify both ...
