Quick question here: Who is the customer? According to the passage, customer is the Buyer. Account manager is the Seller. So the question is asking for the tactics employed by the buyer. But answer options seem to be based on the seller(account manager). Is the question incorrect or am I missing som...

Re: CAT #2 Question 7

Don't change the problem into something it isn't and then claim there is something wrong

Re: MGMAT SC

Here's the explanation why D is wrong: (D) This answer choice also uses the less idiomatic construction "planning on." The singular verb "is planning" does not agree with the plural subject "nations." Additionally, the use of "which" is incorrect in this conte...

Re: SC 4th Ch3 Parallerism - Q9(the blizzard)

Hello, I have a slightly different query relating to this question: In Chapter 11 (GM/S-V/Parallelism: Extra; Page 228), the answer says "Prompting. .. temporarily and causing.. hours are participial phrases formed from present participles." I wish to understand why are they ("prompti...

Re: SC-Many Retailers-Restocking Fees

Hello Manhattan GMAT Staff! My query is as follows- The verb in the subordinate clause (beginning with "but") must make sense with the subject in the main clause, unless a new subject is introduced. In the OA, however - Many online retailers charge “restocking fees” on returns if the purch...

"That" reference to modified nouns

Hi Experts, I have a small query regarding the usage of "that". Can you tell me if the below usage is correct: The Martian surface is like that of the Moon I feel that the "that" refers to "Martian surface" than simply "surface", therefore this seems wrong to ...

Re: Granitic soil

Hi Tim/Ron, Thank you for the great explanations! [Not just above, but also in the amazing Navigator and Thursday series - great stuff!] I wonder if you could elaborate on D - Is this wrong because of parallelism? "... not adv+adj, modifier nor adv+adj, modifier" I'm also interested in under...

Re: The Professionalization of The Study ... GMAT Prep.

Hi Ron, Can you help me understand why E is not right answer for the primary purpose question below. My thinking : The author clearly has a subtle disappointing tone. I thought A was plausible too but the author would want to do "more" than just plain "describe" stuff. I delibera...
