Re: Princeton Verbal Review

Can you please clarify on this usage of "does"? I'm thinking that parallelism would require "has any other city", instead. Thanks!

Re: SC - Although she had signed a pledge ....

I wonder if inserting the corrected sentence "as an adolescent" makes the sentence ambigous, and this makes choice B better. I feel that the sentence "[Frances Willard] had signed a pledge of abstinence as an adolescent " gives the impression that she signed the pledge in the way...

Re: Since 1975 so many people

C. that many people have been moving to Utah, such that the Mormons that were once 75 percent of the population are now accounting for only half of it * the "that" at the beginning is ungrammatical. Hi Ron! I'm feeling that I'm not recalling a good fundamental to evaluate this quote. Can ...

Re: For the best extraction of the flavor of

Hi MGMAT experts! Answer (B) To best extract their flavor, saffron threads should be soaked in liquid after pounding Aside from the logical prediction problem in answer (B), I would like to know if starting a sentence with an infinitive ("To (...) extract") is considered a poor constructio...

Re: severe logic, manuscript from Prep, I need help

Hi Ron, This is really a GMATPrep question, as per link below: http://s27.postimg.org/hfz1cr6z7/Imagem1.jpg I think that the key to nail this question was to read close that "The other eight (...) appear only in L". This is the only way to stablish a connection with answer E. Is this the c...

Re: CR - GMAT prep

Can you please clarify one thing in answer (a)? a. Whether there are more collared female rhinoceroses than uncollared female rhinoceroses in the park. If we apply the negation technique, and verify that there is a very, very big discrepancy between collared female and uncollared females (let's say ...

Re: laboratory rats

Hi there!

I always thought that the structure "COMMA + BUT" would create an independent clause and require a subject. Therefore, the sentence provided would be something like "a dose of aspirin suffices, (...),but IT does interfere". Is it wrong to think it this way?

Thanks!

Re: One automobile manufacturer

Thanks Ron for this awesome explanation! But in the Official Guide 12th, the official explanation for question 80 argues that "that" should be repeated for the sake of parallelism. Would this be a case that GMAC has not been not so consistent? Thanks in advance, Well. One manufacturer has ...

Re: SC SCOETOP

Hi there! I have a question regarding answer (d):

D. year toward the cost of higher education, instead of the $7 per year required previously

Is the word "required" a adjective-modifier or a verb? I'm trying to understand if "instead of" can be followed by noun+clause.

Thanks!
