Re: |x-2|-|x-3|=|x-5| Extremely Difficult absolute question

Andrea,

If I substitute value "0" from solution C among answer options in the complex absolute value equation, the result does not hold true.

Stacey/Ron/Instructors,

Can you guys give us the correct and quick approach to solve this problem?

Parallelism with Clauses (that vs in which)

I read in Manhattan SC Guide that relative clauses should start with same word in sentences exhibiting parallelism. Consider the sentence below taken from OG11 CR passage. 1. The train would be a fixed linear system, and we live in a world that is spreading out in all directions and in which consume...

Re: The computer company has announced that it will purchase

What does "as part of" modify? The entire preceding clause? yes. if you wanted to modify just the preceding noun, you'd use the following type of structure: three days ago he received a payment for $1000, part of the long-overdue pension that had been delayed for various bureaucratic reas...

Permutation, Combination and Probability

Guys, I was wondering how should I prepare for Permutation, Combination and Probability type problems. I have read articles from guys who have scored above 700 that they have not faced more than 1 question in the actual test. Is it worth devoting time to absorb all the concepts on Permutation, Combi...

Re: Permutation, Combination and Probability

Is solving the MGMAT Permutation, Combination and Probability topics and their unsolved exercises sufficient?

Do I need to grasp concepts on circular arrangement, binomial theorem?

MGMAT Instructors, please respond.

Re: Permutation, Combination and Probability

Thank you so much for your reply Stacey. I am assuming from your reply that student will get only 1 or max. 2 questions per test even though he is in the 750 to 800 scoring range. Is my assumption correct?

GMAT prep

Does the GMAT Prep software draw questions for Test 1 and Test 2 from the same pool of questions? Are the 2 tests independent?

I am 31 year engineer working in a highly diversified manufacturing company in US. The top schools rigoro...
