Re: Among lower-paid workers, union members are less likely

Hi Ron/Stacey, I find lots of sentences in which "that" makes 2/3 split. Can you please explain rules regarding "that". when it is required and when it can be omitted and what GMAC prefer, it will help us to split fast. You can take this example or other to explain this. Thanks, ...

Re: GMATPRE SC need help

Whats wrong with B ?
We can not just avoid it because of "being", when other choice i.e. D is also awkward.
any other strong reason to eliminate B ?

Thanks.

Re: As rare as something becomes

Hi Ron,
Can you please help me understanding the structure of correct sentence ?

The rarer something becomes, whether it is a baseball card or a musical recording or a postage stamp, the more avidly it is sought by collectors.

Doesn't it a run on sentence ?

Thanks,

"Worry over" idiom correct or incorrect ?

Hi,

I see some correct usage of "worry over" idiom on dictionary and NYT, but MGMAT SC guide says this idiom is incorrect.

Could you please clarify this discrepancy and should we consider this idiom as incorrect in GMAT ?

Thanks for your help,

Re: Each or Both: The Acoma and Hopi are probably the two oldest

As per my understanding, each requires singular noun if not used with "of", in "each of" kind of phrases . As in this sentence there is no singular noun, each has no referent. And specifically B : run on sentence as second clause is connected with comma only. C: each can not be u...

In Question 51 of OG10, one of the option says. His courage was as that of Rosa Parks. OG says, AS can not be used to compare noun phrase and mark this option as incorrect. So we cannot omit the verb in this sentence because of linking verb and omit the other verbs as we did in question in hand, is ...
