Ok Ron thanks for your response, but in this case, if this algebraic formula (a^3- b^3)= (a-b)(a^2+ab+b^2) is applied to the statement (2) x^2=1/x, this expression is obtained: (x-1)(x^2+x+1)=0, wherein the non-real numbers are from the second part [ (x^2+x+1) ]. I cannot attach the screen shoot of the Gmat Prep question (don't know how...)

But the official answer is indeed choice A, I chose E, though,,,
