'It' cannot be used here as sentence has a plural subject Ostria's abundant rainfall and the typically temperate temperature Hence A can't be the answer

Finally we chose C over D, because D has a modifier which is unnecessary here!

'It has' refers to 'the injured area'. It's like a 3rd person singular eg: He has done his home work.

E is wrong, as it is a modifier which is unnecessary here!

Though federal wage increase lead to increased operating costs, still retailers profits increased! now that's the paradox, we can resolve it by showing how the wage increase might have led to an increase in the retailer’s sales! That's exactly what B does.

Each and every student and instructor in this building __________ for a new facility by next year. Answer says: hopes ( which is singular ), but why can't answer should be 'Hope'. my reasoning is: though each and every is singular but 'and' before 'instructor' make it a compound subject then it wil...
