MGMAT SC -page97- problem 6 - People, who talk loudly..

Whether this 'people' as a subject of the sentence is rightly used as plural , although I can see in the no underline section there has 'show' instead of 'shows' . Should not this be shows and the problem itself should be corrected? Or people as a subject can be both singular and plural ?

MGAMT SC-page-180,IDIOMS - It seems as if the flag .....

In 'in action answer key' the right answer is
c) It seems as if the flag....

qs : 'Seems' already conveys the sense of uncertainty then why 'as if' should be correct with seems ?

Re: Require that - Subjunctive usage

The last two sentences of page 113 is very direct to decide the verb form .
Suppose you have to tell you friend directly , what will you tell then - 'do your work' . not, 'does your work' . thats the verb form should be used in subjunctive mood .

Re: Thoush...Yet vs Though

Hi Ankit - The answer key is there in chappter 10, page 189 . My understanding is - 'though...yet' is wrong in GMAT , only one connecting word required to connect two clasues/parts of a sentence . so the right form is '[though..., ---- ]or [----, yet...]'. Comma(,) is essetial for both the cases as ...

Re: MGMAT SC page 113, if -then constructions

Hi Jamie & Tim - You both have wrongly spelled my name, it should be Pranab, not Prana ! There should not have any confusion among similar words :-)

Re: Thoush...Yet vs Though

Hi Tim - I think Ankit is asking - given two answers otherwise similar if one starts with 'although' and other connected with 'yet' in the middle is there any GMAT preference regarding which one should be selected

Re: Guide 4: Word Translations, 4th Ed., Ch 8, P #10 (Pg.140)

Hi,

I found a typo at the end of the answer key option a ). The word mean is wrong ,it should be median .

Please confirm .

Thanks,
Pranab.
