Scrap Paper?

by JDSchmidt8723 Tue Sep 01, 2009 1:43 pm

Manhattan Staff or Anyone who has recently taken the exam,

I have a friend who took the exam a couple weeks ago. I asked him about his testing experience, and he said that he was only given one piece of graphing paper per section. I was under the impression that you were given the dry erase packet and dry erase marker, and that you could have more if you ran out. Can you please confirm? If it is only one piece of graphing paper per section this makes a big difference in my timing strategy. Please advise.

Thanks,

jon

I have not heard of that at all. The standard scratch paper is a spiral-bound packet of 5 legal-sized sheets of yellow graph paper. If your friend was not offered that, then he should contact GMAC to find out why and, possibly, to complain (if he didn't like his score and felt that the lack of scratch paper affected his performance).

Are you positive that the two of you didn't misunderstand each other? Maybe he meant one packet / unit, because the 5 sheets are bound together and cannot be separated out.
