If you took our course or one of our Guided Self-Study packages, then you're eligible for a free Post-Exam Assessment (if you haven't done it already). This is a phone call with an instructor to figure out what went wrong and come up with a plan to re-take the test. If this applies to you, please send an email to
studentservices@manhattangmat.com and request the Post-Exam Assessment.
If your question is
whether to take the test again, you can discuss that during the PEA (and here), but you should also talk to an admissions consultant - that's who is best positioned to help you decide *whether* to take it again. (Then we can help you decide what to do if you do decide to take it again.)
In particular, anyone who tries to help you answer the question as to whether to re-take is going to want to know where you plan to apply, what the average test scores are at those schools for successful candidates, and how other details (GPA, work experience) also compare for those particular schools.
in OG13, my accuracy in verbal is 75% with time pressure. But in mocks my accuracy is affected badly.
This is not surprising. CATs are adaptive - the questions will be clustered around your ability level. OG isn't. That generally makes a CAT harder than doing questions from OG (unless you're only doing the hardest OG questions at the end of the section).
In Mocks, when I solve a question I am not 100 % sure that the answer I select is correct. But doing same question during analysis, I get it right mostly before seeing the solution.
Do you have any ideas about why this is happening? When you look at it during analysis, you're looking at it the second time, which gives you an advantage you didn't have the first time - could that be why you find it easier? Alternatively, do you get really stressed out when the clock is ticking, and that stress is gone in the post-analysis? Or do you get mentally fatigued during the section and start making mistakes that you don't make when you're not as tired? Etc.
How did your most recent practice test scores compare with your real test score? (Q and V individually)
If you aren't eligible for the PEA, then you can also get more detailed advice here on what to do for a re-take (if you do decide to re-take). First, use the below to analyze your most recent MGMAT CAT(s):
http://www.manhattangmat.com/blog/index ... ice-tests/Then come back here and tell us the results of your analysis. (Note: do share an analysis with us, not just the raw data. Part of getting better is developing your ability to analyze your results - figure out what they mean and what you think you should do about them!)
