good question. first, keep in mind that when the whole sentence is underlined it's usually because something from one end of the sentence is transported to the other end. the portion that is moved clear across the sentence is usually a modifier, so you may want to begin your search there. other than that, you can look for key words that guide you into a particular topic: is there a conjunction that tells you to look for parallelism? is there a pronoun that tells you to apply the pronoun rules? what about a verb split? if you focus your attention on these issues, you should find that the questions where the whole sentence is underlined are no more difficult than any others..
