SC - Newly installed, online version of zoo

by Navneet Thu Dec 18, 2014 4:56 am

Hi MGMAT experts

[---]

This is modified and changed version of SC 73- OG 13
Here Option A and D can be eliminated because of
1. wrong use of which
2. Sub - verb agreement error of activates

Option B due to non sense - It will mean that online version encourages 1. touch 2. activation of xxx

Option C - It may refer to online version and shape, and it has wrong parallelism

Option D remains
but do sentence using proper parallelism
Pls give some examples

that wasn't an acceptable "modification"; all of the important constructions from the original were left unchanged.

also, i don't see any questions in your post. all i see is a series of declarations about various answer choices, followed by "please give some examples". (examples of what? i can't tell.)

if you do go ahead and create a genuinely modified version of the original, please ask at least one specific question about it. (please end your question with "?")

thanks.

Sorry for missing "?"
It is in second last line of post -
but do sentence using proper parallelism ?

Here I was mainly confused with parallelism
OV is
1. encouraging visitor to do something
2. as a consequence of above, activating something

grammatically it is perfect parallelism but do sentence using proper parallelism in terms of meaning ? ( Never seen such parallelism, so asking for example)

Is it like ?-
Ugly dog was barking on young kids and thereby preventing them from entering in home.

more generally—
"and", used by itself, normally indicates 2 things considered separately/independently.
e.g.,
On Monday, Roberto encountered unusually heavy traffic and was late to work.
––> the literal meaning of this sentence is "here are 2 different bad things that happened to roberto today."
as written, this sentence does NOT imply that roberto was late to work because of the traffic.

on the other hand, adding an adverb (so, thus, thereby, etc.) after "and" can indicate a relationship between the two items.
e.g.,
On Monday, Roberto encountered unusually heavy traffic and so was late to work.
––> this sentence implies that roberto was late because of the traffic.
