Why is A most appropriate according to Grammar experts? Why is'nt B appropriate?

Let me try to explain why B is wrong here.

In B, the modifier starts with "which was", but the meaning can be carried out without using "which was" as used in A, so using "which was" is redundant, and the major problem with option B is "it" at the end of the modifier. in A, both "made" and "included" are parallel and relate to the same subject "an observation" so this is clear and concise.

A wins over B ...
