so in (A).."they are potentially devastating for homeowners, whose "...

how come they can uniquely refer to the 'depressed property values' when there is another antecedant 'some large investors'...
As I assume here the 'some large investors' would be treated as plural (SANAM)
so why Sentence (A) is correct?

Am I missing anything?
