Retake CATs ?

Hi
I purchased MGMAT CAT pack of 6. I have taken 5 tests. Can i delete and retake these tests?

One observation -
It seems the question pool is very limited. I did well on initial tests and hence the system kept throwing 700-800 level questions to me in those tests. In later tests (specially in CAT4 and CAT5), though i continued to do well, i rarely received 700-800 level questions. I would not mind questions getting repeated (assuming the pool is not large enough to be able to throw different questions in all CATS) as much as i would mind an inflated score.

btw: MGMAT SC is god of all things!!

The pool is generally large enough to give you different questions for 6 tests - there are more than 1200 questions - but if you are scoring at the very high or very low ends and your score isn't changing much as you take tests, then you could exhaust the pool of questions at your level.

You don't actually have to delete anything (nor do you want to! It's good to have the data!). You can just keep taking tests - the system won't stop you at 6. After test 6, though, the algorithm will now be permitted to give you questions you've seen before, that's all. (And this wouldn't be remedied if you "reset" everything, because then the algorithm would think you hadn't seen any of the questions before - you'd still end up with repeats.)

One thing: if you are re-taking any tests (including GMATPrep) and you see a question you recognize, glance at the timer quickly and make sure that you sit on that question for the full length of time. That way, even if you remember the answer to this one, you won't have artificially saved time, which would help on later questions and really cause score inflation problems.

Is there overlap between the questions given in the Official GMAT CAT? In other words if i take the 1st test twice will i see any of those same questions when i take the second test, or are they drawing from different banks.

You're talking about GMATPrep now, yes? (The earlier question was about MGMAT CATs.) The two GMATPrep tests use different question banks, so if you take one test twice, you may see some of the same questions you saw on the first test, but you will not be "cannibalizing" your second separate test - that one will take questions from a different bank.
