this isn't the sort of thing you should have to ask someone else, by the way—you should just be able to think about whether the meaning makes sense.
(if you don't know what meaning is conveyed by some construction, then of course it makes sense to ask questions about that. in fact, that's pretty much the whole point of posting SC problems on the forum. but that doesn't seem to be the case here.)
