When the positive integer x is divided by 9, the remainder is 5. What is the remainder when 3x is divided by 9?

Well I know this is part of numbers property. When I see it, I know I'm suppose to find an answer which is a multiple of 9 and 3x correct? So I need to find the divisor or the dividend correct?

Dividend= quotient + remainder.

3x/9 ?

hi,
please read the forum rules (top of every folder). among other things, those rules specify that you must post problems in their entirety, including all answer choices.

please post the full problem (with answer choices), or else we will have to delete the thread. thanks.
