Reinstate Cancelled Score

by EstefiM131 Wed Aug 31, 2016 6:31 am

Hi - I took the test 3x. The first time I did particularly bad (40Q/29V) and score read 540. I cancelled since that was more than 150 below my target. The second time I took the exam I got a better score 640 (43Q/34V). I went for the exam one more time and just remember getting somewhere in the 500s I think late 500s because I cancelled my score out of disappointment . I've gotten mixed advice on what score to re-instate. Many of my friends say the lower one since I show a 100 pt improvement. However, I talked to an admin counsel and they said to reinstate the second one even though it showed a dip in my score. I wish I could remember the exact split of my third exam but I was so dissappointed I went down that I don't remember my score at all.

For more context, my test dates were Sept 2015, November 2016, May 2016

I'm a little confused. You say that your second score is the highest one and that the "admin counsel ... said to reinstate the second one even though it showed a dip in my score"—but if that is your highest one, then there wasn't a dip in score. Or do you mean you canceled only the first and third tests, so you're referring to your second canceled test?

You can view all of your scores in your student / unofficial score report page in your mba.com account. Go look there to see what the full numbers are. That may make a difference, depending on the subscores.
