You are not the only one! We all feel at least a little tired by the time we get to the verbal section.
I do have one question: why are you targeting a 770? The only organization on the planet that requires that is us. No school requires anything close that kind of amazing score.
I'm not saying you shouldn't go for a 770, but you may be driving yourself crazy trying to reach that score, when you may already be able to get a great score as far as the schools are concerned.
As of this year, the schools aren't using the IR much and many aren't using it at all. If you're planning to apply this year, then the IR isn't super important. If you're not planning to apply for 3-4 years, then the IR will likely be more important than it is now, though it likely still won't be as important as Q and V.
You can save yourself some mental energy, then, by going for a score of 6 or 7 instead of 8. Skip the 2 or 3 hardest questions that you see in that section and save your mental energy for later.
You can do something similar in quant, even though you do care about that score. It's very likely that you are spending too much mental energy on a few hard questions right now. When certain question types pop up on the screen, I'm already thinking, "Hmm, I don't know if I'm going to waste my energy on this." (Combinatorics, 3D Geo = hard for me. Roman numeral = long for anyone.)

http://www.manhattangmat.com/blog/index ... you-crazy/And use this analogy. You manage a division at your company. You have a quarterly budget. It has to last for the whole quarter, so you may decide not to send Sue to the conference in week 3 because you may have a better place to spend that money in week 8. You don't know for sure yet, but you don't just spend all the money right now.
Same thing on this test - make good decisions about where to spend your time and where NOT to.
