Reading online or through hardcopies

by Varun1984 Mon Mar 02, 2015 6:45 pm

Hi,

I am new to the GMAT preparation world. My basic understanding is if the test is online why do we have Manhattan prep providing hard copy of the course material?
Are there soft copies that I can order? Are all the 10 preparation books available in form of soft copies? It would be great if we get everything on our systems rather than concentrating on reading it through books and then facing the real test online. Please Advice.

Regards,
Varun

It is true that the real test is given on a computer, so you do want to make sure that you take all practice tests on a computer as well.

It is not necessarily the case that studying all of your books online will help, though. Reading paragraphs / chapters of text is quite different from answering practice problems. Many, if not most, people feel that reading physical books helps them to better learn the material.

Not everyone feels that way, though, and it is possible to get any of our books in e-book form instead of physical form. It's completely up to you! When you go into our store, you'll see that there are options to buy physical or e-book versions. :)

If you do have a Kindle or a digital format that allows you to annotate the books (highlight certain things, take notes), I think that's more helpful. (We also offer the more basic Adobe Digital Editions, which lets you read the books but doesn't offer a bunch of tools for marking up the book electronically.
