Question on GRE's section adaptivity.

by LaavanyaA159 Wed Aug 12, 2015 10:15 pm

Hi Stacey! This is Laav, from your GRE vs GMAT Session today.

I had a question that I forgot to ask during the session.

I know that the GRE is section adaptive. Is it only between the same type (Verbal 1 and 2 / Quant 1 and 2) of section or between the type of sections as well?

As in, if I perform well on Verb 1, Verb 2 will be harder. Will my performance of Verb 2 determine the difficulty level for the Qaunt 1 section?

Thank you.

Hi, Laav! Glad you stopped by. :)

It's only between the same sections. So Verb 1 --> Verb 2, but Verb 1 doesn't have any impact on quant.

Let me know if you have any other questions!
