Question Banks - Most Effective Use?

by yoyo Wed May 21, 2008 1:05 pm

How can I best utilize the question banks?

Should I do all of them right before my exam? Should I only do a few questions at a time?

Just wondering how I can best utilize this tool. It wasn't discussed in class much.

Generally:
1) do them timed
2) either do a whole bank at once or do them in sets - say 5 at a time
-- I prefer sets, because then you can do, say, 5 geometry, then 5 number properties, and then 5 word translations to get a mix of questions, rather than doing a whole bunch of the same type
3) prioritize according to your strengths and weaknesses - if you're already really good at something or if you're finding adequate practice within OG, don't worry as much about the question banks. If you're struggling with something and not finding good enough explanations in OG (which is common), then do those question banks.
