Profile evaluation request: 590 GMAT (Q38;V33)

Hi,

My name is Chavdar- male; Bulgarian. My GMAT score is 590 (Q38;V33), and I know well that it is low....
Toefl - I am currently studying for it.

Post MBA Goals:
Short term: Strategy and operations at an established bakery chain, ingredients or bread yeast producer. Country is not of importance.
Long term: Becoming a CEO of my own production plant in my home country of Bulgaria.

Currently I'm employed in an ophthalmology practice in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. I have an impact on the financial success of the business here.

Product developper and Quality responsible Feb. 2011 – May 2014
Achieved a 150% increase in sales of baking ingredients (from $11,000 to $27,500 per month) by establishing direct contact with more than 100 artisanal and industrial bakeries throughout Bulgaria.
Launched on the market 4 new tailor made products that amount to 50% of all sales of baking ingredients.
Persuaded management to change delivery route of baking ingredients which decreased delivery time by 30%.
Introduced temperature check lists and a register of returned baking yeast from customers which influenced a change in packaging of baking yeast; Losses from returned baking yeast decreased by $ 10,000 per year.
Followed Bulgarian label legislation and collaborated with marketing department on complete rebranding of product portfolio; Conceived commercial arguments which were put on the new labels.
Trained 2 baking technicians in the field and helped them coordinate projects with R&D department.
Conducted statistical and market research needed for the creation of subsidary’s business plan for 2013-2015.
Participated in budget planning process and yearly forecasts.
Created from scratch a data base of product specifications and recipes.

Hi there,

Thanks for posting. Your profile is quite unique and therefore interesting!

However the one part I was confused with... you mention all of this experience with the bakery products etc; and your goals in that area... but then you mentioned being employed at an ophthalmologist office?? Not sure how that fits in? And it could raise concerns/confusion among b-schools as well...

Beyond that, the biggest weakness is your GMAT... yes higher would be better; the closer you are to the averages at your desired schools the better. It's quite common to take it more than once and schools take the highest score... so perhaps one more shot? With some additional help or a tutor?
