Practice tests

by bruno_torres_gomez Mon Apr 21, 2014 2:38 pm

I'm taking a Manhattan GMAT practice test this week (actually it's the one after the Manhattan GMAT diagnostic test) I've been studying from the classes and extra material.

I was wondering if there are any tips? in terms of the conditions, would you recommend light to zero studying the day before?

thanks!

Good question. As a general rule, try to use practice tests as opportunities to practice what you're going to do for the real test.

So, yes, don't do a ton the day before (you'll just tire your brain out). Try to take the test at the same time of day you plan to take the real test. Get up, eat breakfast, do whatever you would normally do.

Consider taking the test at a library, or your office, or someplace that's quiet but isn't home. That way, you don't have the ease / comfort level of being home (which will of course be true on test day!). If you do go someplace else, make sure you will have solid internet access.

When you're done, use this to analyze your results:

And feel free to come back here to discuss anything. Good luck!
