plan of attack

by lcthrower Mon Jun 22, 2009 9:19 am

Hi,

I took the Manhattan GMAT class about two yrs ago. For whatever reason I did not take the GMATs then...I am interested in getting back into the flow of studying and would like a recommendation for a study syllabus. I have all of the books from the class, although I know they are dated...

any suggestions?

Are you interested in studying on your own or taking the class again? Former students can re-take the class at a pretty significant discount (contact studentservices@manhattangmat.com or 800.576.GMAT) for details.

If you want to study on your own, you can basically just use your course syllabus and your books to "re-do" the course on your own (without the classes, obviously). Your online resources will also have expired a long time ago, but if you want those resources again, you can pay a small fee to get that reinstated (again - see contact info above to get details).

If you don't want to re-take the class (which will automatically restore your online resources), then I would recommend reinstating your online stuff (obviously, I have a conflict of interest in recommending this, so take that into account when you make your decision). The most important thing in the online stuff is the practice tests - it's really important for you to be able to take those and get the statistic on your strengths and weaknesses, etc - that's critical for your study plan. (And, obviously, it's also important just to get the experience of taking full-length practice tests.)

If you reinstate your online access, you'll also get the study syllabus (or maybe you still have that too from before?). You can use that to set an organized and comprehensive schedule for yourself.

thanks for the reply! How would I go about reinstating my online status? Also, how much would this cost?

Hi there-

We're happy to extend online access for course students for free. I can give you online access for 6 months whenever you're ready. Just shoot us an email studentservices@manhattangmat.com (you can reply here, but I may not catch your post as fast as someone will see your email) and we'll get you all set!
