Phd Accounting

by jahnavi_p Fri Aug 07, 2009 12:14 pm

Hi,

I see MGMAT site with information that is quite useful for getting admissions to Business Schools for MBA. However, I am aiming to getting admission to a Phd program in Accounting at a good business school. Hence, I need some advice on the application process (essays, recommendation letters, statement of purpose etc.).

I see that a lot of schools stress a lot on strong recommendation letters. So I was wondering about an appropriate length of such a letter, content and qualities specifically desired which would appeal to the decision makers.

If there is anyone, who is in the same boat or anyone who has some experience in Phd application process, please drop in with your 2 cents.

Thanks

Jahnavi

Great question! This particular folder / area of the forum is specific to the GMAT itself. I think the best place to get advice about your issue is in the Admissions Consulting folder (further down the list of folders on the main page of the forums). I'd suggest you re-post your question there.
Good luck!
