permission to watch former class's recording!

by AsadA969 Fri Dec 13, 2019 5:48 pm

Hi team,
I'm Asad, the course student of ManhattanPrep. I wish to watch the recording of one specific course instructor whose session was completed 2 yrs back! Could you give me chance to watch those videos (9 class; 27 hrs duration) with the NEW payment? I am badly needed it.

Hello! We do not, unfortunately, keep the recordings from old courses. We can't give you access to them because they literally no longer exist. :|

I'm not sure whether you've already reactivated your account. If you have, the recordings you see there are the only master recordings we currently have. If you have not and you are interested in accessing our current course recordings, you can ask our student services team (gmat@manhattanprep.com) for your options. (There are ways to do this—but, yes, for a fee.)

I'm sorry that we no longer have the old recordings!

Thanks for your response.
Why do I need to ''reactivate'' my account? How can I reactivate my account?
"Master recordings'' means what?

You have access to your online resources for a certain period of time—but that access expires after a while (the exact time depends on the specific product or service). For courses, the resources are typically active for 6 months after the last day of your course—so if your course was 2 years ago, then the resources associated with your course have expired.

We also changed how we do class recordings about 1.5 years ago—we no longer record every course. Instead, one instructor makes a "master recording" of a class she or he is teaching, and that set of master recordings is given to everyone who is taking that course. If you reactive your course account, then you would get access to the master recordings. (Note: Even if we did still record every course, your course's recording still wouldn't be available—the recordings were erased after 6 months.)

If you're interested, talk to our student services team (gmat@manhattanprep.com) to find out any more details about reactivating your account—how much it costs, what you will gain access to, and for how long you will have that access.
