Page 118 - Critical Reasoning

by jl.e.castro Thu Mar 26, 2009 12:38 pm

Is page 118 supposed to be blank?

The section seems to come to an abrupt end; I have only a brief, 4 line paragraph following "B. Wrong Direction" and nothing after. If I am missing this page, is there anyway I can get a PDF of the missing content? Thanks in advance

You know, it is in my copy as well, and I hadn't considered this until just now. Thanks for pointing it out. This may be a printing error in some of the copies - I'll look into it. I've sent a note to another instructor. We'll see if we can come up with a response for you.

It does look like a too-abrupt ending with no transition, doesn't it? But that's how it's supposed to be. The reason why D weakens is not discussed there because that was explained at the bottom of the previous page. We're just essentially reminding you that this choice did the opposite of what we wanted the correct answer to do.
