One Week to go

by captain18 Tue Aug 02, 2011 6:56 am

Hi everyone,
My GMAT test date is on the 10th of this month.
I have tried to prepare for the test to the best of
my ability under varied conditions.
Though, I would certainly like to see a 7 in the hundreds
place of the three-digit GMAT score, I am consistently
scoring in the 600-650 range.
I am utilizing the services of KAPLAN online CATs as well as
ManhattanGMAT online CATs. My KAPLAN practice test scores
are in the late 500s. However, my ManhattanGMAT practice test scores have been 650, 610, 660, 630 respectively.
Yesterday, I gave another ManhattanGMAT practice test and scored 680 (Q-42, V-40 under almost test-like conditions) . There are still 8 more days to go and I don't plan to study anything after Sunday. I just want to be relaxed and mentally rested for atleast 2 to 3 days before I write the actual test. In the remaining time period should I take one or two practice tests and make sure that I consistently hit 680/680+ (under almost test-like conditions) ?
Any other suggestions are certainly welcome.

Hi captain,
It sounds as if you've done some great preparation work. A 680 is fantastic! At this point, you should probably just do some timed sets with deep review of each question. I wouldn't recommend any more CATs since your test is so close. If you REALLY want to take another CAT you could take one today, but after that you do need to conserve your energy since the GMAT is quite an ordeal. Wishing you the best!
