One recommendation from a couple who managed me at work?

by nishantarora.ldce Tue May 18, 2010 1:15 pm

A couple who together managed a project, directly managed me and the entire project for over two years, and know me since about 6 years.
My reporting was to one or the other all this while, they were at onsite too with me when I was abroad.
Since most B-schools ask for 2 recommendations, I would especially like to get a single recommendation from a this couple
and would like to have the other recommendation from somebody in the rest of the years of my work life.

My question is

a/ Should I have only one person among the couple to write a recommendation for me?
b/ If no,Should I inform the B-School that the single recommendation is from two people, not one? How?
c/ If yes,Would this not count as hiding information from the school or rather making it up??

Interesting question! Haven't encountered this situation before.

I'm going to send you over to the "Ask An Admissions Consultant" folder, as they're the ones who can best advise you on this. (This folder is specifically about the GMAT.)

I would guess that they will tell you to ask each school what it would prefer or what rules it has - but ask them to make sure. My area of expertise is really only the test.
