OG Guide Problems and references in MGMAT Guides

by Peter_G Tue Dec 11, 2012 6:15 am

Good Morning,

I am somehow confused and hope somone can give me some insight. I worked through the MGMAT Quant guides and I believe I am ready to to work through the OG Problems sets, which are listed at the end of each guide. For example Guide 5 ( Number Properties),p. 130

"This set is from The Official Guide for Gmat Review, 13th Ed. (P. 20-23 & 152-185)

A little lower

Divisibility & Primes

2,5, 26, 40, 74, 77, 87......D23

So when i got started I opend page 20 and looked for the 2. Q, where i assume would be the first divisibility or Prime related question.

This question is about the Average of intergers. I was a little confused as I did not expect a question regarding arithmetic means. Well I answered the Question and looked at Q5, which is about a cylindrical tank filled with water.

At this point it occured to me, that I might be doing something wrong.

Could someone help and tell me what the heck I am doing wrong before i loose all my motivation to get started with the OG.

Here is a list of the material I have:

MGMAT Quant Guides 5th ED
OG Review 13th ED.
OG Quant Review 2nd ED.

My first thought was that I am using the wrong editions, but as I have double checked it this is not the issue.

Thank you for you help in advance!

Greetings

The very lowest-numbered pages (in the 20s to 40s or 50s) are ONLY for the diagnostic test. Those questions all have a D preceding them - eg, D23.

The regular numbers (no D before) are found on the higher-numbered pages (pages 100+).

Note: for questions like this one (how to use materials, any tech problems etc), please contact our office directly at 800.576.GMAT or studentservices@manhattangmat.com - they can answer you right away and you won't have to wait a long time for a response on the forums! :)
