Number of questions in Verbal Section as per the category

by chetan86 Sun Oct 05, 2014 11:48 am

Hi Stacey,

I recently gave 2 GMATPrep tests and found that both had 11-CR,17-SC and 13-RC questions.

In different mocks, other than GMATPrep, the number of questions varies.

So I just wanted to know whether this trend repeats in actual GMAT also? If so, then it would be helpful to develop strategies to tackle timing issue.

Regards,
Chetan

The real test does vary. To the best of our knowledge, the real test seems to fluctuate between:
11-14 CR
12-14 RC
15-17 SC

Of course, on the real test, some of those count and some of those are experimental. We assume that the "counted" questions are in a set pattern, but the experimentals add the variability. (They don't publicize how many experimentals there are.)
