New to GMAT

by nagarajender.k Fri Oct 02, 2009 1:22 am

Hi,
I am a MCA graduate.I am working as a software engineer in a reputed company for 1 year.I want to join a top B-School though GMAT.

How my exeperince will effect my addmisssion into one of the top B-schools.

I want to know the total cost to join a B-school (at least approximately).

Do the scholarships from the B-schools depend in the GMAT scores?

Could you please clarify.

Thanks in advance

Those are great questions! This folder is actually for questions specifically about the GMAT; the questions you've asked are all about the admissions process. You can copy your post and re-post it in the Ask An Admissions Consultant folder to get a more complete answer to your questions (my area of expertise is just the test itself).

Most schools require at least 2 years of work experience.

The total cost can vary widely - it could be as little as 3,000 USD per year or as much as 50,000 USD per year. Perhaps even more or less in other parts of the world - I am most familiar with the costs in North America.

Sometimes scholarships will base part of the decision on a GMAT score, yes, but it is not typically the only criterion.
