New strategy guides?

Hi there-

I’m starting private tutoring with Manhattan GMAT soon. Below is my email exchange with my instructor (I’ve taken out both of our names... I don’t want to get him in any trouble!). He was pretty vague about the new books. I was hoping someone here would be able to give me a little more detail about them...

(me)-

The books are going to be updated. I don’t know how much more I can say about them, actually. But you’ll be notified when we officially have a release date for them.

Best,
(tutor)

Oooooh! Yeah, they've been talking about putting out new books for a while. This is the closest I've heard to anyone from MGMAT actually giving us a real date. Does anyone else have info or stuff they've gotten out of their instructors?

I don't know the official "drop" date but I think it's going to be either at the end of this month or in Nov.

If you're an active student, as it sounds like this poster will be, then just ask for the new books when they come out! (In fact, I think the company is already planning to swap out the books of any active class or tutoring students who want to switch.) For other active students who are on the "cusp" here, if you're planning to take the test before about mid-Nov, you should go with what you've got already. If you're planning to take it later than that, then you may want to look into the new books and see whether there are any significant changes in the areas that are still giving you trouble.
