Need more practice

by hojoon.chung Mon Feb 08, 2010 11:29 pm

Hi,

I've finished the red books and gone through the advanced sections and solved the In Action problems. I feel though, I am still in need of more practice. I've tried the HW Banks, but these are too easy. I've done the Question Banks, and these were challenging, but there are only 25 questions for topic area. And when I retake, the questions repeat themselves. Also, I've looked at the challenge problems, but they're ordered by date, is there a way to look at these problems by topic?

I'd really like to work on some specific topic areas such as Absolute Values and Probability.

Thanks,
HoJoon

What are you practice test scores? And what are your goal scores? If everything feels easy and your practice test scores are where you want them to be, then perhaps you're ready to take the test!

You mentioned the MGMAT materials but not the Official Guide materials. Did you also do those books? There are about 1,500 questions in the 3 main books.

You can also get more quant practice from GMAT Focus (www.gmatfocus.com). This is a Quant diagnostic test (24 questions) from the makers of the real test.

The challenge bank, unfortunately, can't be sorted by topic. That is a good idea, though - I'll suggest it to our curriculum director. (But that won't help you anytime soon, unfortunately.)

Stacy, thanks for your response.

I am working through the OG material and almost at the end. My question was for when I get finished with the books. Thanks for the link to GMAT Focus; I will be using that when I get done with the OG questions.

And yes, it would be nice if the challenge questions can be sorted by topic :)

He said they're already working on it, actually, but it'll be a while till it's done (the challenge bank thing). :)
