MGMAT score is 690 how much I can expect ?

by manusnghl Thu Nov 17, 2011 2:38 pm

Hi ,

In MGAMT test I got 690 score last two times.
In Quant I am geting 49 and in Verbal I am getting 36.

I have GMAT on 28 Nov.
I want to know how much I can expect to get in my Real GMAT.
How much MGMAT score deviate from Original GMAT.

I want at least 700.

Regard,
Manu

Our tests have a standard deviation of about 50 points, which means most students score +/- 50 points from their last test to their real test. (The real test has a standard deviation of 30 points - all tests like this have a standard deviation.)

Your results are more likely to be at or above your practice test score if you took the practice test as close to official conditions as possible. If you skipped the essays, took longer breaks than allowed, or otherwise deviated from official test conditions, then it's possible that your practice test scores are artificially inflated.

If you have an absolute minimum goal score of 700, then ideally you would score at or above that level on at least 2 tests before you take the real test. You are almost there, but there's no way to guarantee anything, of course.

In general, you should expect to score approximately what you are scoring about 1 week before the test, so you'll have to decide whether you think you can hit it on the 28th or whether you want to take a little more time to bring your score up a bit more and give yourself more leeway on test day.
