Hi Anish-

After you take the first set of 6 tests, there will be an option to reset the question bank and start over. The thing you need to be aware of, though, is that this will put all of the questions back into the test pool, so you may eventually start seeing questions repeat.

ok thank you...

and can u please tell me couple more things:
1. is there any package to buy the entire pool of 1200 questions..?
2. are the questions for the 6 tests and the 25 difficult questions with any guide contained in the entire pool..? or are these questions different.

Hi Anish-

The question banks that go along with each book and the question bank that the 6 exams pull from are entirely separate. Essentially when you get access to the CATs, you're getting access to all 1200+ questions in the pool. The way this works is that when you take a set of 6 tests, the system remembers which questions of the 1200+ you've seen during that set. If you reset the bank and take another set of 6 tests, the system will remember which questions you saw during that set.

Hopefully that makes sense, but please let me know if you have any other questions!

hey..

yeah that makes very much sense... thanks alot for the help...

one last question, but this is regarding actual gmat.

i have given the exam and scored 4.5 in AWA and 600 ( 45Q,28V)
i had been scoring between 670 and 700 on all the tests i gave be it kaplan, princeton Gmatprep or mgmat. i guess i scored less in actual test because i had not been writing the essays in practice tests and jumped right to quant.

i will be giving the exam soon. the question is wat happens if this time i don write the essays in actual test and get to quant straightway. ofcourse my official scorecard will show 0 on awa . but how do colleges take it..? i have scored 4.5 last time so they have one score to look at as they will get both the scores...

Hi Anish-

You might want to check with the Admissions Consultants about this, but my assumption is that this would reflect pretty poorly on you. The GMAT really is a test of stamina. Timing plays such a big part in this test, and schools know that. They also know that you've got an edge if you're coming into the Quant section fresh as opposed to everyone else who is coming into it after having spent an hour writing essays. This also isn't a case where you can report your highest Quant and then highest Verbal score and combine the two; schools are looking for your highest overall score. I would think that the same would be the case for your AWA score -- you can't take your best AWA score and your best Quant/Verbal score and combine them. At this point I'd recommend taking some practice tests with the essays and really working on your endurance.

I know that wasn't the answer you were looking for, but hopefully you still have time to remedy the situation. Good luck with the test and let us know if you have any other questions!

GMAC also reserves the right to cancel a test if they think anything improper has gone on. I discussed this issue with a contact at GMAC earlier this year and she told me that not answering the essays could trigger GMAC to cancel the test - not that they would automatically cancel it, but that they would examine that test to see if something irregular was going on.
