MGMAT CAT TESTS

by mohit.khemu Fri May 06, 2011 3:17 am

HI.
How do the MGMAT CAT tests that we get to use when we buy any MGMAT book differ from those that come along with the MGMAT Test series.
Apart from these tests, are there any other tests that we can buy from MGMAT?

Thanks in anticipation.

They're the same thing, whether you get access to them by buying a book or by just buying the test series.

I'm not sure whether this is still true now, but it used to be the case that buying one book was cheaper than buying the test series by itself - you might want to look into that. :)

For now, that's all we've got - the series of 6 tests with no question repeats (you can take more tests, buy you may see repeated questions). We are working on expanding the database in order to allow 8 unique tests - that'll be out sometime later this year, and if you buy access before it expands, you'd still have access after the expansion (that is, you wouldn't have to pay more or anything).

HI Stacey.
Thank you so much for the response.
At the student center, we have an option to buy 800score tests under the section additional CAT Exams. What is your take on those tests ? Are they similar to MGMAT tests and also adaptive in nature ?

If anyone else has taken those tests I would really appreciate their feedback.

Thanks in advance.

They are adaptive, yes. I haven't done them myself, but a couple of my fellow teachers have, and they told me that the tests are decent. Not as good as ours, of course, but still decent. ;)
