Hey,
Ivan operates an ice cream stand in the summertime, selling exclusively chocolate, vanilla and strawberry cones. On a recent afternoon, the ratio of chocolate to vanilla to strawberry cones sold by Ivan was 6 : 3 : 2. How many cones did Ivan sell on that afternoon?
(1) Ivan sold 24 vanilla cones.
(2) Ivan sold twice as many chocolate cones as vanilla cones.
In the question above which appears in ur CAT # 4, the answer is STMT 1 alone is sufficient.
(1)based on the Q and stmt 1 we can conclude that 11x=24 or that x=24/11.
Mathematically the answer is okay, but logically it doesnt make sense because the number of cones sold becomes a decimal and you cant really sell parts of a cone. This is not a complaint or a rant, just something I have noticed so thought would let u guys know.
