MBA.COM paper tests

Hi,

Are there any explanations (similar to OG) provided by GMAC or others to paper tests sold on MBA.COM website? Is it worth purchasing them as they do not reflect CAT?

No explanations provided by GMAC, unfortunately. Further, because the paper tests are a paid product, GMAC also does not legally permit these questions to be reproduced or discussed online (though some websites do this anyway - but we follow GMAC's wishes and don't discuss these).

These can be good questions to try individually, but the tests should not be taken as full tests if your intent is to try to simulate the CAT - obviously, things work very differently on a paper test. The paper tests are also, by definition, very old.

GMAC also just published the 12th edition of the Official Guide. About 25-30% of the questions are new; the rest are in the 11th edition already. But that can provide you with some new, very recent questions.

There's also GMAT Focus, a quant-only online diagnostic test published by GMAC. This is also a paid product, but the questions in there do not come from either 11th (or earlier) editions of OG or GMATPrep.

I agree with your earlier comments made in other posts on how to study every question thoroughly for any takeaways. I will skip the paper tests as I will not have time to chase the explanations to these otherwise useful questions.
