Losing time in smart value questions- suggest best approch

by vdgmat Thu Mar 15, 2012 1:24 am

In some qestion where we have to test number like +/- , integer/fraction etc I tend to spend more than 4 min. Plz suggest structural approch or best approch so as to reduce time required to solve them.

Please read (and follow!) forum guidelines before posting. This question should be posted in the General Quant folder.

Although, I will say - most teachers would respond with "Please give me a specific example problem to demonstrate." So go find some example problems and post them (in the appropriate folders!) with your question.

You may also want to read our Number Properties Strategy Guide - there are sections that deal with these types of approaches.
