Locating "associated drill in online official guide problem"

by EricD318 Sat Jan 24, 2015 6:51 pm

Hi.

I just read chapter 3 of the FDP strategy guide. The syllabus then says "do the associated drill in your online Official Guide problem set"

Can someone please tell me where I locate this drill. I understand that GMAT Naviagtor mirrors the OG book but I am not sure where the problem set associated with Chapter 3 of the FDP book is located.

Thanks

I think I found it. If you look at the icon to the right of the syllabus its called "OG Problems" there are a bunch of problems from the official guide in there. I believe those are the drills being referred to. Can anyone comment on this letting me know if I am correct.

Thanks

This problem set lives in your student center, but the specific location depends upon what program you have with us. If you are a class student, use the online dashboard / online syllabus and each time something is assigned from this set, the assignment itself will link straight to the PDF.

If you bought books but aren't taking a class, then I'm not sure exactly where it lives. It sounds like Eric did find it, but I've asked our student services team to let me know exactly where it is - stay tuned!

ETA: if you just have the books (you're not taking a course or doing Interact), then there's an icon on your student center home page that will take you to the PDF of the OG problem sets.

For those taking a course / doing Interact (that is, anyone with a syllabus), I strongly recommend that you start using the online syllabus. We offer the PDF download for convenience, but that only works very well for your books / printed materials. All of the online materials are linked in the online syllabus, so you don't have to search. You read the assignment, you click the link, you're there. :)

Hi StacyKoprince. You say "All of the online materials are linked in the online syllabus, so you don't have to search. You read the assignment, you click the link, you're there." I can only find the PDF version of the syllabus on the Interact dashboard. Nor do I see it in the Student Center page. Where exactly do you find the interactive syllabus??

The online / interactive syllabus is not a single thing or a single page. It's basically everything that you see in your Student Center when you click the big button that says Launch Your Online Syllabus.

Note: you will only have this option if you are taking one of our classes or enrolled in one of our Interact self-study programs. Otherwise, you won't see this button / have access to the online syllabus.

When you click that button, it takes you to a system that lays out the 9 class sessions. Each session has its own Homework tab, and that's where you'll find the assignments, as well as links (when that assignment can be found online).

If you think you should be seeing that Launch Online Syllabus button but you're having trouble finding it (or if you're having any other problems locating stuff in your student center), please either call our office (212.721.7400) or send an email to our Student Services team (gmat@manhattanprep.com) and they will walk you through exactly what you should be able to access and where you can find it all!
