library fine

In a certain library, the fine is being assessed.
the 1st day is .10c the second day onwards the fine is either doubled or .30c is added, whichever is lesser. what is the total fine assessment on the 4th day?
.60
.70
.80
.90
1.00

my answer was .90
bt the correct ans is .70

pls help. thx

Day 1: .1
Day 2: .2(Double) or .4(Because of .3+.1). Choose .2 for being lower
Day 3: .4 or .5. Choose .4 for being lower.
Day 4: .8(Double) or .7(Because of.4+.3). Choose the lower one .7. Hope it is clear!
