Last name blank in passport

Hi,
My given name in passport is :-Perinkulam mahesh rajesh
surname in passport - blank(empty)

How should i register for the gmat exam as it requires a last name.
I have read in many blogs that the GMAC people tell us to put a .(dot) in last name if it is empty in passport.

can anyone help in solving this matter?
