A. Correct
B. Should not be light pulses as original sentence is talking about singular light and light pulse
C. Subj-Verb agreement issue. Should be have caused
D. light pulses should be light pulse
E. Meaning change. Original sentence says caused the light to do so and not enabling it

Option A says the "Scientists have broken...and caused..."
E: "Scientists have broken and have enabled..."
Besides the fact that E uses "enabled," is it grammatically wrong?
