Is GMAT Prep scoring up to date?

I have taken both of the GMAT Prep exams and received the following scores on the quant section:

Test 1: (before doing any timed practice sets): 38: 48th percentile
Test 2: (after doing lots of timed practice sets: 44: 66th percentile

Actual test: 36: 40th percentile.

On the two practice tests, I tried to simulate exam conditions as closely as possible (timed breaks, essay/IR, in a cubicle, etc.).

On the actual test I felt about the same as I did when I took test 2 (in fact, I even saw one of the same questions word for word???--I thought that wasn't supposed to happen). I'm wondering if the GMAT prep exam scoring is up to date?

Back to the drawing board for another month until I take the test again.

I haven't heard any reports that anything is wrong with GMATPrep, no. (And, yes, the scoring, etc, is all up to date.)

You need to figure out why your score jumped and then dropped - if you don't, the same thing might happen next time around.

One major culprit of "up and down" scoring is timing. You almost certainly have timing problems in general - everyone does. The question is how significant they are. Note: I talk to people every day who tell me their timing is fine, but it's not. Finishing the test on time does NOT necessarily mean that your timing is okay. When you analyze your practice CATs using the above article, you'll see what I mean. :)
