Ans: D
Could someone please explain how does stmt 2 answer the question.

From statement 2)

2x+5y-20=0
or -2x = 5y-20 ---- (1)

Given, -2x > 3y ---- (2)

Substitute (1) in (2):

5y-20 > 3y
or y > 10

Since y>0 then x<0.

From the question you can solve to get
2x< -3y
x< - (3/2)y ....... eq 1

Then from statement 2, you solve to get
2x + 5y = 20
y = (20 - 2x) /5 ........ eq 2

Substitute equation 2 in eq 1 in place of Y

X < - (3/2) * (20 - 2x) /5
This would solve down to X < - 9
and hence x is negetive
