by ugenderr Fri Aug 13, 2010 11:15 pm

if y >= 0, what is the value of x?

1) |x - 3| >= y (read '>=' as greater than or equal)
2) |x - 3| <= -y (read '<=' as less than or equal)

Source is gmat prep, and answer is B.

can some one explain this one?

Thanks
